Thinking of organising a trip or visit?
Copmanthorpe Scouts have a 17-seat minibus (16 passengers plus driver) that is available for hire to local community organisations or groups who are part of, or closely linked to, Copmanthorpe Village.
To hire the minibus:
- Your driver should have a D1 licence and/or a recognised minibus driving qualification;
- Your driver(s) should meet all the criteria in the Driver Requirements (see point 2 below); and,
- Your organisation should have a valid Section 19 permit to display at all times.

Cost
Voluntary contributions towards the running costs of the minibus are welcomed for its use. Suggested contributions are:
- ยฃ50 per day
- ยฃ150 per weekend
- ยฃ300 per week
Make an Enquiry or Booking
Whilst the minibus is used on some week nights and weekends during term time for Scouting-related activities, we also have good availability for hiring it at other times. To make a booking:
- Check the Copmanthorpe Minibus Google Calendar to see whether is is available.
- Make sure that anyone who will be driving the bus meets the following driver requirements:
- Is aged 30 or over;
- Has a D1 licence and/or a recognised minibus driving qualification;
- Is not suffering from any physical or mental impediments which may affect my ability to drive the minibus;
- Has not had any accidents in the last 5 years for which I was at fault;
- Has not been banned from driving within the last 5 years;
- Has no endorsements or penalties on their driving licence;
- Will not drive the minibus if they have taken any medication which may impair their ability to drive;
- Will not drive the minibus if under the influence of alcohol;
- Is capable, competent and confident in driving the minibus.
- Complete a Minibus Booking Form.
- Ask anyone who will be driving the minibus to complete a Driver Verification Form.
